The photography tour is scheduled during the Chilean summer, where you can expect varying weather conditions. In San Pedro de Atacama (Chile), you will experience hot temperatures during the day and significantly colder temperatures at night, typical of desert climates.

To ensure your comfort and preparedness for all weather conditions, we recommend packing appropriate outdoor gear. Here are some essential items to consider:

  • Outerwear: Carry a waterproof and windproof jacket or shell to protect against unexpected rain or strong winds. This will come in handy during outdoor activities and excursions.

  • Hiking Boots: It is important to have sturdy hiking boots for the short hikes we will be doing, as well as for the cold nights and potential water in the salt flats. Hiking boots provide comfort, ankle support, and protection against cold temperatures and wet conditions.

  • Sun Protection: Don't forget to pack sunblock, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses to shield yourself from the intense desert sun.

  • Accessories: Bring a head torch, lightweight scarf or shawl for additional warmth during cooler evenings. Additionally, consider packing gloves, a beanie, and warm socks for added comfort.

  • We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance that covers medical expenses, trip cancellation, and loss or damage to personal belongings, including your camera gear and laptop.
