Alternatively, you can explore the majestic Wairere Falls, another picturesque location that also requires a moderate hike. For those seeking a more accessible option, the enchanting Okere Falls offers a stunning setting without the need for extensive hiking. Whichever option you choose, rest assured that you’ll be surrounded by awe-inspiring natural beauty and have ample opportunities to capture breathtaking photographs.

  • We are flexible in accommodating your schedule and can create a customised itinerary that suits your needs.
  • In case you prefer to visit a different location or have a specific time preference, additional fees may apply to accommodate your request.

  • This tour extends a warm invitation to couples or companions who are not photographers to join the adventure for an additional fee of $150 per person (up to 3 extra people). It's a wonderful opportunity to explore the mesmerizing waterfalls of Bay of Plenty together, immersing yourselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
  • For additional photographers joining the tour, there is an additional fee of $500. This fee includes access to the full-day photography experience and the opportunity to capture breathtaking images of the Bay of Plenty waterfalls.
  • Additionally, photographers can opt for the add-on editing class, available at a separate cost of $250 per person.

    • Our Bay of Plenty Waterfalls Private Photography Tour includes the following:

  • Pick-up and Drop-off: We provide convenient pick-up and drop-off services from Tauranga, ensuring a hassle-free start and end to your tour.
  • Scenic Locations: Explore three stunning waterfalls, McLaren Falls, Okere Falls and Tarawera Falls which serve as picturesque backdrops for your photography adventures.
  • Private Tour: Enjoy the intimate experience of a private tour, allowing for personalised attention and a friendly atmosphere.
  • Expert Guide and Photography Tutor: Join Coni Flores, a renowned landscape photographer, who will share her expertise, provide guidance on photography techniques, and help you capture the best shots.
  • Photography Time: We will make stops at four different spots during the tour, giving you ample time to explore, compose your shots, and capture the beauty of the waterfalls.
  • Lunch: A delicious on the go lunch or dinner will be provided during the tour, allowing you to refuel and relax in between photography sessions.
  • Filters to Try: We will provide a variety of filters for you to experiment with and enhance your photography skills.
  • Camera and Tripod Rental: If you don't have your own camera or tripod, we are happy to lend you the equipment at no extra cost.

    • Please note that the following items are not included in the Bay of Plenty Waterfalls Private Photography Tour:

  • Personal Camera Equipment: Participants are required to bring their own camera and accessories, including tripods, lenses, memory cards, and batteries. If you need to borrow a camera and tripod from us please let us know in advance.
  • Personal Expenses: Any personal expenses incurred during the tour, such as additional food or beverages, souvenirs, or gratuities, are not included.
  • Optional Editing Session: The tour price does not include the optional editing session with Coni. If you choose to enhance your photos with professional editing guidance, an additional fee of $250 will apply.
  • Travel Insurance: It is recommended that participants have their travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, medical expenses, or equipment loss/damage.

    • We kindly request that you inform us of any dietary restrictions or food allergies you may have prior to the tour. This will allow us to make the necessary arrangements and ensure that your dietary needs are taken into consideration throughout the tour.

  • We provide comfortable and reliable transportation in a Subaru Forester 2015, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey to the waterfalls.
  • We will pick you up and drop you off

    • Your host and guide, Coni, originally from Chile and a native Spanish speaker is a dedicated and experienced photographer who is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love for photography. With her expertise and guidance, she will assist you in capturing stunning images and help you improve your photography skills.   • Appropriate Clothes for the Season: It is important to dress comfortably and wear suitable clothing according to the current season. We recommend layering your clothing, so you can adjust your comfort level as needed throughout the tour.
  • Comfortable Shoes: As we will be exploring the waterfalls and their surroundings, wearing comfortable shoes is a must. Opt for sturdy, closed-toe shoes that provide good traction and support for walking on uneven terrain.
  • Backpack: As we will hike to some of the locations, a comfortable backpack to carry your equipment is highly recommended.

    • While it is not mandatory, we recommend bringing a DSLR or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses for the best photography experience. A tripod, filters, a laptop to edit your photos (if you want to add the Editing class) and a wide angle or all rounder lens.

    On this tour, we will embark on scenic hikes to reach some of the stunning waterfall locations. These hikes are designed to be enjoyable and suitable for participants with a moderate fitness level. The duration of each hike is no more than 40 min-1 hr minutes at a time (you can choose an easy access waterfall instead), allowing for comfortable exploration of the surroundings. Our experienced guide will ensure a leisurely pace, allowing everyone to appreciate the natural beauty and capture breathtaking photographs along the way. So lace up your comfortable shoes and get ready to immerse yourself in the wonders of the Bay of Plenty waterfalls.

  • We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our clients' needs. If you need to cancel your booking, you can do so up to 3 days prior to the tour, and you will receive a full refund. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the tour due to any unforeseen circumstances, you will also be eligible for a full refund
  • If you choose to cancel your booking 2 days prior to the tour, you will receive a refund of 70% of the tour price.
  • In the event that you cancel one day before the tour, a refund of 50% of the tour price will be provided.
  • We kindly remind you that cancellations made on the same day as the tour will not be eligible for a refund. As the tour date approaches, preparations, arrangements, and resources are allocated to ensure a seamless experience for all participants. We appreciate your understanding of our policy, which allows us to maintain the high quality of our services.
    • In the event that we need to cancel the tour, we are more than happy to offer the option of rescheduling to a future date that works for you. We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, and we want to accommodate your needs as much as possible. However, if you choose to cancel as a client, we kindly ask you to rebook your tour at a later date, subject to availability. This ensures that we can continue providing our services to all our valued clients. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Payment can be made through our secure online payment system. If you prefer alternative payment options, please contact us to make arrangements.

    Please note that tours will only be confirmed and scheduled once full payment has been received.

    If payment has not been completed by the scheduled tour date, the tour will not proceed, and refunds will not be provided.

    To secure your spot on the tour, please ensure that you complete the payment in a timely manner.

    Cancellations and Refunds:

    Cancellations made by the client:

    • Cancellations made 3 days or more prior to the tour start date will receive a full refund, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
    • Cancellations made 2 days prior to the tour start date will receive a 70% refund of the total tour fee, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
    • Cancellations made 1 day prior to the tour start date will receive a 50% refund of the total tour fee, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
    • Same-day cancellations will not be eligible for a refund.

    Cancellations made by us:

    • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund, including the deposit.

    Tour Modifications:

    We reserve the right to modify the itinerary, tour activities, or locations due to factors beyond our control, such as weather conditions, safety concerns, or any other unforeseen circumstances.

    We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements or activities of equal value and interest.

    Health and Fitness:

    Participants should have a moderate level of fitness and be able to undertake short hikes and walks of up to 40 min - 1 hr at a time (you can choose an easy access waterfall instead), .

    It is your responsibility to inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions, physical limitations, or dietary restrictions that may affect your participation in the tour.

    Photography and Intellectual Property:

    Participants are allowed to take photographs during the tour for personal use and non-commercial purposes.

    Any photographs or other materials captured during the tour remain the intellectual property of the participant.

    Participants grant us the right to use any photographs or videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes on our website, social media, or other marketing channels. Proper credit will be given to the participant.

    Liability:

    We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure your safety during the tour. However, we are not liable for any injuries, damages, losses, or expenses incurred during the tour.

    Participants are responsible for their personal belongings and equipment during the tour.
