Embark on a 10-day photography adventure through the Chilean desert and the Uyuni Salt Flats in Bolivia. This small group trip is led by Coni, a native Chilean photographer who will guide you to the best locations for capturing stunning sunrise and sunset shots. Stay in unique salt-made hotels, photograph the Milky Way reflecting in the salt flats, and explore the highland lagoons. Sunrise Tour

Set your alarm clocks! We'll arrive before the sun does in order to capture the early morning light, starting at 6:45am and finishing at 10:00am.

Overview

The tracks are safe and easy, though a moderate level of fitness is required as we will be walking for an estimated 20-40 minutes to reach our shooting locations. We will travel at a slow pace and allow extra time to ensure we arrive on schedule.

  • 6:45am – Arrival, health & safety induction before start
  • 7:00am – Shooting starts
  • 9:00am – Finish, rest in café and 30 minutes photo editing time
  • 9:30am – Submitting photos and competition voting time (Hells Gate team will vote)
  • 10:00am – Breakfast time and announcement of winner

  • Includes breakfast at the end of tour, onsite photo competition with a prize for the winner and a 50% off on Mud Pool on the day (bring swim wear if you are keen make a day out of it) or buy one get one entry for Mud Pools for future use
  • Transportation is not included but we can organise carpools from Tauranga
